Charity triathlon with a twist
Demi Seddon, Gemma Baker, Ellie Skinn, Charlotte Eames, Catherine Houston and Emma Taylor were just one of 29 teams who took on the challenge despite soaring temperatures.
The challenge comprised of a 10km trek up the Old Man of Coniston, a 17km bike ride through the Grizedale Forest and a 3km kayak across Coniston Water.

Hide AdThe annual event is a triathlon with a twist and is created as a challenge for teams of varying abilities .
Bay Vets notched up 23rd place out of 29 teams competing on the day. They have so far raised £1,121.50 against a target of £1,500.
Helen Hughes, organiser of the Coniston Challenge at Alder Hey Children’s Charity said “It was another fantastic day with great team spirit and unusually glorious Lakeland sunshine!
