A closing down sale is being held at the BHS store on Market Street ahead of this Saturday’s final day of trading.
Meanwhile the Ann Summers lingerie and bedroom toy shop opposite BHS will close the following weekend.
The store is also having a closing down sale.
The chain has more than 140 shops nationwide. The nearest Ann Summers store for local shoppers is now in Preston.

Other shops to close on Market Street this year were the former Greenwoods mens wear store and the My Local supermarket.
Greenwoods closed at the end of January due to high rent meaning the store was no longer viable.
The My Local company went into administration in June.
Prior to being sold to My Local, the shop was run by Morrisons.
Meanwhile the new Lancaster Primark clothes store is due to open in the nearby Marketgate shopping centre on Wednesday, August 24.
