Heysham power station reactor back up and running
A nuclear reactor at Heysham 2 power station is back up and running after being shut down.
Unit 7 at Heysham 2 power station went back online at 3.45am on July 30 following an issue with a boiler feedwater pump.
The 660-megawatt reactor and its generating turbine was shut down by owners EDF Energy at 1.48pm on July 27.
An investigation was then launched.
The incident followed a fault at Heysham 1 in January 2015 which led to one of the reactors being closed down. A reactor was also closed after a fault in August 2014.
