Sports centre hosts summer holiday play day
On Wednesday, August 3, children will have the chance to take part in face painting, balloon modelling, orienteering, inflatable assault course and enjoy lots of fun and games.
There will also be bouncy castles, outdoor water slide, inflatable pool fun, nine hole crazy golf, children’s entertainer, and much more.

Hide AdThe event is being held to mark National Play Day. The fun begins at 10am and runs until 4pm. It is free to take part and there is no need to book. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
Coun Darren Clifford, Lancaster City Council cabinet member for leisure, said: “National Play Day has become an exciting fixture on the events calendar for the Lancaster district and aims to highlight children’s right to play and the importance of play in children’s lives. With so many activities available throughout the day, and all for free, it is definitely not one to miss.”
