Residents battle flood water as Environment Agency issues warnings for parts of Lancaster district
Residents in Halton have been trying to stem the flow of water in High Road and Pennystone Road, using brushes and shovels to send the water in a different direction to properties.
Others have been pulling leaves and mud from drains along High Road, while vehicles became stuck in Pennystone Road.

The water quickly receded but more heavy rain is forecast through the night.
Fire crews are also standing by in Galgate.
The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings - meaning flooding is expected and immediate action required - around Burrow Beck, Canterbury Ave, Cranwell Ave and Bowerham Road, as well as between Newlands Ave, Lentworth Drive and Whinfell Drive.
Two flood alerts - where flooding is possible and people should be prepared - have also been issued for Lower River Lune and Conder, and the Upper River Wyre and Brock.
Flooding has also been reported at St Peter's Road at the junction of Moor Lane in Lancaster, and the A6 south of Milnthorpe.
