University ranks eighth in new guide
The Guardian league table combines scores for the aspects of university life that matter most to students. Lancaster’s score has risen for overall satisfaction, teaching satisfaction, assessment and careers.
A number of subjects were also ranked in the top 10 – Business, Management and Marketing (8th ); Mechanical Engineering (2nd); Accounting and Finance (8th); Mathematics (6th); Sociology (4th);Religious Studies (10th);Geography and Environmental Studies (5th); Chemical Engineering(6th);Drama and Dance (5th) and History(7th).

Hide AdThe latest result comes on the back of Lancaster’s ranking of ninth for the second year in a row in The Complete University Guide 2017 league table.
Prof Mark E. Smith, Vice-Chancellor of Lancaster University welcomed the news. He said: “I am delighted that the reputation of our university is reflected in high rankings year-on-year in the UK’s major university league tables.
