Neil Marshall column: Six points out of six has to be the aim
But we want to finish as high as we can. Clitheroe have dropped a few points and are only three points ahead of us so sixth is up for grabs.
The strangest thing about our end to the season is that in our final four games we play Scarborough twice and New Mills twice.

Hide AdI missed the first New Mills game on Tuesday night because I had the night off but Scarborough on Saturday weren’t a bad side at all.
The gaffer (Phil Brown) warned us they’d brought a few players in as they look to next season and their league position (18th) certainly doesn’t reflect how good they are at the moment.

Hide AdI’ve had plenty cleared off the line so it’s been a bit of a hard luck tale.
The reality is though that if we’d put some of our other chances away we could have been out of sight and that’s been a bit of a recurring theme these season.
We know it’ll be a test going over to Scarborough on Saturday for the return game and I’m told New Mills had a couple of decent players on Tuesday night but we want to finish with six points out of six.
Clitheroe have tough games to come against Burscough and Witton Albion and finishing sixth would be a great achievement.

Hide AdOnce the season is done all eyes are on my testimonial against a Liverpool Legends side (on Tuesday, April 26).

I can’t wait.
