Neil Marshall column: We can't let there be an end of season feeling
The draw against Kendal wasn’t good enough though. It’s not mathematically out of our reach but it’s not looking too likely now with Clitheroe seven points clear of us with a couple of games in hand.
They’ve got tough games to come but it’s a lot of points to claw back.

It’s funny because looking back if you’d have been offered four points from the two games then you would probably have taken that.
A point against top of the league and then maybe winning the derby.
But the way we beat Warrington it’s two key points dropped.

Hide AdYou’ve just got to play every game now like it matters starting at Mossley on Saturday. We can’t allow there to be an end of season feeling in case any of the teams do slip up.
Monday was tough to take because after Saturday’s result it was all there for us.
We’re quite disappointed with the way we played though.
We went 1-0 up and just didn’t control the game after that. They came back into it and went 2-1 in front.
We huffed and puffed and got one back for two apiece and a draw was probably a fair result.

Hide AdIt’s disappointing for us though to go from beating top of the league Warrington to a derby match with Kendal where we’ve just not performed how we should have done. Saturday was the opposite. Taking into account the terrible conditions every player to a man was terrific.
I’ve heard people say they were poor but I think we made them poor.
We handled the conditions better and if it had been four or 5-1 I don’t think anybody would have complained.
The Kendal result just takes the gloss off things though.
